FAQ (Freq. Asked Questions)

Guests

  1. What if I didn't actually graduate from Kellogg? Can I still attend as a classmate?

If you attended Frank B. Kellogg at any time between its operating years of 1965-1986 you are invited!

  2. Why must all guests be age 21 or older?

Due to the liablility issues surrounding the service of alcoholic beverages inside the event, our Insurance Rider requires that all attendees and guests be of legal drinking age.

Payment

  1. Will the admission price include food/drink?

Food & drink must be purchased separately from our on-site vendors.

  2. If admission does not include food or drinks, what is all of this money being used for?

The $17 admission price helps pay for the venue, tents, chairs, tables, decorations, advertising, etc.

We feel the admission price is very reasonable, considering many reunions charge $50 per person to "include" dinner and a drink. We decided to have food/drink be optional in order to keep it affordable for all.

  3. Will you accept payment by cash or check?

Electronic payment and registration is quick and easy using the link provided.  Payments will be processed through PayPal, but you do not need a PayPal account.  PayPal is also equipped to process credit cards and electronic checks.

We prefer electronic payment, but if you feel you MUST pay by check, please contact us at [email protected] for instructions.

  4. Can I get a refund if I need to cancel?

Due to the large scale of this event and the financial obligations to venue and other expenses, we are unable to offer refunds.

  5. What if I lose my paper ticket or it doesn't print properly?

If you lose your ticket, you should be able to re-print it from the confirmation email that came from EventBrite.  (If you deleted the email, a new confirmation can be issued upon request.)  If you have trouble printing your ticket from EventBrite, have no fear.  The check-in table will have a list of all paid attendees, so your paper ticket is not mandatory.

Miscellaneous

  1. Why advance register? Can't I just show up at the door?

If you've ever tried to plan a party, you know how hard it is when you don't know how many people are coming.  Our food & drink vendors absolutely need to know how much to have at the ready. Think what a travesty it would be if we ran out of beer!  We don't want anyone going thirsty, so go ahead, make a commitment, and buy your ticket now. JUST DO IT!

  2. What if it rains?

The event will be held rain or shine.  There will be large tents on site, as well as indoor space available.  If you attended in 2011, you know that not even a severe thunderstorm with power outage could dampen the atmosphere!

  3. Should I expect an invitation in the mail?

Hard copy invitations will not be sent by mail.  If you've made it to this website, consider it your invitation.  This event will be promoted through miscellaneous promotions and word of mouth only so PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

  4. Will my personal information be used for third-party marketing?

Any personal data collected by the reunion committee on this site and/or the EventBrite site will not be sold to third parties or be used for any purpose other than to promote events relating to Frank B. Kellogg.  Data may be subject to private distribution for the sole purpose of future Kellogg reunion planning. Full discretion will be used.

EventBrite will not sell your Personal Data to third parties, including third party advertisers.  See their full privacy policy here:http://www.eventbrite.com/privacypolicy

On our personal EventBrite event page, the committee has opted to make the list of attendees viewable to the public, as this feature has been requested by classmates.  However, only your first name, last name, maiden name, and grad year will be visible.  No other personal or identifying data will be released.

  5. Will there be a band or other entertainment?

No entertainment needed.  We feel that a reunion is just that; a place and time for people to reunite to reminisce about the good 'ol days. There will be background music, specially chosen to reflect the music we grew up with. There will be a slide show on the Jumbo-tron. There will be memorabilia. But mostly there will be people, because that's what a reunion is about.
